MacWise Font Problem and Fix for TigerApril 30th, 2005 If you have been using MacWise with Panther (OS X 10.3) and then upgrade to Tiger (OS X 10.4), the MacWise font will become corrupted. You will need to trash the font and re-install the font. The symptom is that columns do not line up correctly. The other symptom is that the flashing cursor does not completely erase the cursor line when it flashes on and off. SOLUTION: The MacWise font needs to be re-installed. First,
you need to trash the old font. Note: A bug report has been sent to Apple about this problem. At this time, we do not know what is causing the problem. Running the latest version of Fontdoctor shows that there is no problem with the MacWise Font. Sometimes just dragging the font to the desktop and back into the font folder fixes the problem. Note: This problem was later solved by MacWise version 10.7.61 MacWise allows a Macintosh to be used as a terminal -- connected to a host computer directly, by modem, local area network or over the Internet.
