MacWise - Macintosh Terminal Emulation - telnet / serial for OS X - Wyse, Viewpoint, VT100, VT220

MacWise Terminal Emulation for Macintosh
Version 10.7.62 Released with Keep-Alive

May 13th , 2005

Feature - Added option to keep TCP sessions alive for telnet and ssh.
Look under the Special Menu for this option. It allows you to enter a time interval to tell the host that you are still there. This keeps the host from disconnecting you after a pre-determined idle time.

Note for company system administrators: There is an undocumented feature that will prevent the user from changing the Keep-Alive time. Send email to richlove@carnationsoftware.com if you need information about this. You can prevent users from changing most settings after you get them set up an working.

MacWise allows a Macintosh to be used as a terminal -- connected to a host computer directly, by modem, local area network or over the Internet. The emulators support video attributes such as dim, reverse, underline, 132-column modes, protected fields and graphic characters sent from the host computer, as well as enhanced Viewpoint mode. Features include phone list and dialer for modems, on-screen programmable function keys, connection scripts and more.

MacWise emulates ADDS Viewpoint, Wyse 50, Wyse 60, Wyse 370, Televideo TV 925, DEC VT100, VT220 and Prism terminals. Supports ANSI and SCO ANSI color. Esprit III color is also supported in Wyse 370 mode.
