With version 3, you can now add names to your folder icons and select a color.
This makes it easier to recognize folders in your Yellow Button window without having to roll the mouse over the folder icon to see the full name.
Right-click or Control-Click on a folder icon to give it a name.

Upgrading from version 2 to version 3 is $10.00
There is no upgrade charge if you purchased Yellow Button after May 1st 2005
You can try version 3 for two weeks before it will expire.

Naming a Folder Icon
Most folder icons are blank folders. You can name a folder to make it easier to recognize. You can also change the color.
Right-click or control-click on a folder icon in the Yellow Button window. Then select "Name the Folder..."

The following window will open to let you enter your folder name. You will need to abbreviate since you are limited to 5 characters (that's the max number of characters that will fit in an icon square). Note that you are only adding a name to the folder icon in the Yellow Button window. You are not changing the original folder name. You can still see the real folder name by hovering the mouse over the folder icon.

Click on the color you want to use.

• I remember where all of my applications, documents and folders are - Right where I left them in my Yellow Button window.
They are "Just a Click Away".

• Yellow Button launches programs and accesses folders and documents with a single click. Stores over 600 programs, files and folders in one window.

• Organize your programs, files and folders in an expandable window.

• Instead of cluttering your OS X Dock and desktop with icons, drag your favorite files and folders to the Yellow Button window. They will always be there when you need them and they take up less space than a cluttered desktop.

• The buttons stay in the same location - even after you quit and run the program again. They are always where you left them.

• In addition to being a time saver, Yellow Button is easy to use and pleasantly habit forming.

• Click the little "Yellow Button" at the top of the dock and it's available in the Mac OS X Dock for retrieval at any time. Or just keep it open on your screen to easily click and jump to any file, folder or program you have in the Yellow Button dock.

You want easy? Just one click on an icon will...

• Launch a program
• Open a folder
• Open a drive
• View and select items within a folder or drive

You can...
• Drag an item from the desktop to a blank square to install it on the Yellow Button dock.

• Drag an item from the desktop to an application icon on the Yellow Button dock to open the dragged item.

• Hold the control key down while clicking (or right-click if you have a two button mouse) to see contextual menu options for each button.

• Hover the mouse over an icon on the Yellow Button dock to see the file name.
Hold the command key down while hovering to see the full path name.
