Twitter: CarnationSW for MacWise update alerts

3/27/17

15.4.3

Fix - Window was not refreshing when switching from one MacWise window to another MacWise window.
(Problem introduced in MacWise 15.4)

3/11/17

15.4.2

Fix - ESC ~s~MacFileName was not working to send a file to the host unless you supplied a full path for a Mac-To_Host Transfer.
MacWise now looks for the file on the Desktop to send to the host.
You can send .txt or .csv files to the host.

Also, added these commands...

ESC~s~UserDesktop:MacFilename
ESC~s~UserDocuments:MacFilename

Feature - Added a new command ESC ~v
When sent from the host, MacWise responds with an information line containing the MacWise version, emulation type and connection method.
A response line might look like this...
MacWise Version 15.4.2 / Wyse 50 / MacWise Using Serial Port USA19Hfa131411P1.1 % /

2/25/17

15.4.1

Fix - Long print jobs would not open the print dialog box when MacWise was in the background.
(print jobs that use your Mac printer as a slave / aux printer).

You can now multitask by switching to other apps while waiting for long print jobs to finish.
The print dialog box will appear when the print job is done and you switch back to MacWise.

2/3/17

15.4

Added support for MacBook Pro Touch Bar function keys.
Some MacBook Pro models have a Touch Bar instead of real function keys.
By default, the function keys will not appear in the Touch Bar.
To activate them, select "Activate Touch Bar on Startup" from the Connection Menu.
Then follow the instructions.

Note: "Activate Touch Bar on Startup" menu item will only be available on MacBooks with a Touch Bar.

1/25/17

15.3.2

Fix - Fkeys folder in 15.3.1 had wrong icons and would not open in MacWise.

Fix - Arrow Keys dialog box had gray box that was not large enough and the border line at the bottom was getting chopped off.

Updated the splash screen for 2017.

11/10/16

15.3.1

Fix - British Pound symbol now works when holding down the Option key and 3 key.

Under the Settings Menu, make sure that Strip 8th bit is unchecked.
Also, under the Emulate Menu, select Function Key Options... and uncheck the item that says, “Use Option Key and Number Keys as Function Keys”

Works with British or US keyboard

8/1/16

15.3

Screen refreshes faster when clicking between windows.

7/27/16

15.2.9

Fix - Intermittent hangs when switching windows caused by timing problem with different speed Macs.

7/9/16

15.2.7

Fix - Intermittent hangs when switching between windows.

7/8/16

15.2.6

Feature - Support for Special number characters typed on the keyboard that use the Option Key.
Characters like these... ¡™£¢∞§¶•ªº
Holding the Option key down while pressing any number key will send a special character to the host. (Does not work with extended keypad.)

To enable this feature, uncheck Strip 8th bit under the Settings Menu.
Then under the Emulate Menu, select Function Key Options... and uncheck the new item that says, “Use Option Key and Number Keys as Function Keys”.

NOTE: Previous versions always used the Option key with number keys as function keys. (Goes back to the days when Macs did not have function keys)

7/1/16

15.2.5

Feature - Supports System Builder commands to launch web pages or files.
http://www.macwise.com/SystemBuilder_Supported_Escape_Sequences.html

4/4/16

15.2.4

Fix - Scrolling back in 156 column mode was producing blank screens.

Fix - Scrolling all the way back to the first page could cause an array bounds error.

12/2/15

15.2.3

Fix - 40-Page Scroll Back was not turning off when opening a settings file that was saved with scrollback off.

10/15/15

15.2.2

Fix - Viewpoint emulation - legacy cursor positioning codes were causing MacWise hangs.

9/26/15

15.2.1

Added Preference option to send CR + LF when you hit the return key
( Return Key = CR + LF )

Also, added "Reset Prefs to Default" in the Preferences window.

8/22/15

15.2

El Capitan Compatibility

Fix - Was getting " ActivateFontFromResourcesFile error -985 " with El Capitan beta (Mac OS 10.11)
The MacWise font could not load and was causing cursor positioning and screen clearing problems with El Capitan.

MacWise now attempts to load fonts from it's resources folder. If that fails, it looks for fonts in the MacWise Fonts folder.
The installer now has the option to drag MacWise Fonts to the Fonts folder (MacWise will alert you if that needs to be done)

8/8/15

15.1.3

Fix - The AppleScript, CopyResultToClipboard was not clearing the previous result from the last time CopyResultToClipboard was used.
(Problem introduced in version 15.0 now fixed)

(Problem introduced in version 15.0 now fixed)

7/13/15

15.0

Compatible with Mac OSX 10.11 ( El Capitan ) and previous OS versions back to 10.6

Fix - ESC ~a~FileName would fail if there were nulls in the Filename path.
ESC ~a~FileName runs an AppleScript.
This is one of the many host commands you can use in MacWise
